Rabbi Sharff and Rabbi Azriel will be teaching from the Zohar, a collection of mystical writings that explore the deeper spiritual meanings of the Torah and Jewish Tradition. This program is designed for learners of all backgrounds and levels of experience who are curious about Jewish mysticism and eager to explore the teachings of the Zohar.
We do ask that you get a copy of Volume I of The Zohar: the Pritzker Edition (ISBN 0-8047-4747-4).
Shabbat Morning Torah Study
Saturdays, 9:15 a.m.. - (IP)(Z)
Each Shabbat morning, one of our clergy will lead us in mining the weekly Torah portion for spiritual and ethical insights in a casual conversational format.
Adult Prayer Hebrew: Level Aleph
Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. - (IP) beginning April 9
Are you looking to improve your Hebrew for prayer? This class will help you to gain confidence if you want to follow along more effectively or lead prayers.
This class will be taught by Rabbi Teri Appleby.
This is not a Modern Hebrew class. However, this is a great first step if you are interested in pursuing an Adult B-Mitzvah.
There will be 10 sessions starting with the following dates
- April 9
- April 16
- April 30
- May 7
- May 14
- May 21
- May 28
- June 4
- Final two sessions TBD.
Cost will be $100 and you will need a copy of the book "Aleph Isn't Tough"
